Spring Maintenance Timeline

March 1st

The quarterdeck repairs will start, rotten planks will be routed out and surfaces prepared for lamination. New planks will then be glued in place.

March 8th

The Hounds (They support the cross trees) will be removed and replaced. This involves chiseling the old ones off as they are glued and we don't want to damage the mast. A tent will be put over this section of the mast for this.

Wednesday work sessions will continue to address skilled rigging and other small detail projects that improve the overall function and appearance of the vessel.

April

The mast will be stepped April 1st-5th, weather will dictate the re varnishing time line.

Rigging will will be completed by the 21st.

21st-27th will be crew training in preparation for the yearly Coast Guard inspection.

May 1st will be our first school group educational sail.

We will paint when the weather allows, this will likely be late April through May.

Volunteers interested in participating in any of the above listed projects should contact me in advance so that we can make the best use of your time and skills.
