May 3rd and 10th at 1 pm, re familiarization classes for experienced crew members

May 14th and 16th at 6pm, re familiarization classes for experienced crew members

In these classes we will practice raising and lowering sail, reefing, maneuvering under sail and power and emergency drills.  6 people each class so we all get hands on time.

These classes are required for returning crew each spring to re familiarize our self with the safe operation of a traditional sailing vessel.

Spring Rigging Progress

.

We are now @80% through the spring rigging process. Work is progressing well and we will be starting our refresher training sails for experienced crew this weekend.

There is more rigging work to be completed this week and if you are available we could use a hand in preparing for the coast guard inspection coming up next Monday. Stop by any time from 9-5 in the next 4 days. Work will include putting the PFD's in there proper place, setting up the compass, securing floor boards, inspecting batteries and general rigging work.

This evening we will be bending the mainsail and rigging the halyards.
